Diving in Ko Lanta is seasonal, and available from November through to April. During the months of May to October, the tropical monsoon winds bring high waves and troublesome seas, with large amounts of plankton washed up into the ocean. Diving and fishing is suspended whilst sea life regenerates. Mother Nature takes care of herself, and the annual cycle of rebirth and regrowth maintains the abundance of marine diversity much appreciated by visitors.
